Beta is here!

With the new beta verion of the game we have left the old hotseat system behind us. The game is now played over the internet, so budding can be played with anyone, anywhere!

New Features

• Fully networked game
  • Players can seamlessly create and join games through a matchmaking system
  • Players can be a member of up to 10 active games at once
• New "Game selection screen", here players may chose which of their possible 10 games they want to play or create a new game if they have less than 10
• Plants will now tell you their traits if you tap on them
• Plants can now be removed with the “trowel” tool
• Animations added for all major interactions
• New design for every plant
• Reactive tutorial will now nudge players who are lost
• Redesign of the select mood screen now is a lot more user-friendly
• New design for the mood and traits icons
• Added a credits page

Bug Fixes and Improvements

• Improved background art for both gardens
• Improvements to tutorial pacing
• Fixed text errors in tutorial
• Volume defaults to a more sensible level
• More sound effects added, some of them replaced
• Can click on pet to make them make a sound now
• Corrected logos on home and splash screen
• Tutorial now works properly for both players
• Various improvements to UI
• Improved companion art

Known Issues

• There is currently no way to leave games
• The “back” button on the game selection screen is not functional
• Several button on the mood selection screen do not register taps properly
• The “previous” button on the tutorial system does not work properly

We plan to fix remaining bugs and usability issues. Release date is 11/05/2021
